Adsense-ble, Or ”The Art Of Promoting, Without Promoting”

Adsense, a new way for almost anyone online to make a profit. All you have to do is to get cleared by Google, put some code on your web pages. And wait for someone to come and click!

Hey, wait a minute.

You can't have popups on the page. Ok, no problem. Moreover, you can't tell anyone you have an ad from Google on the page. You can't write about it, point to it or tell someone to click on it.

Also, remember that you are not allowed to make a traffic pulling page, with no other way to leave it beside the ad.

You must have more links on the page (now what, will anyone notice it?).

So how can you help up your click conversion rates?

1.Placement. Do not hide your ad. Put the ad to the left or somewhere near the top to ensure that anyone will see it without any scrolling.

2.Colors. There are several schools, each one pulling their way. One way is to contrast the ad as much as possible (but still possible to read it). The second one is to blend in the ad with your site as much as possible.

Click conversion rates

People say that a click through of 5-10% is very good, while others are happy with 3-5%. I have pages reaching 30% click through and they have several product and affiliate links, plus sales copy for products.

How to get that high click throughs?

My secret weapon is trying to make my WebPages as likable as possible for Google.

I have found that better ranking on your search term (for a page) in Google, increases the click through.

Not because you get some secret bonus or extra points (according to those who know, are there no connection between the Google search engine and adsense).

However, I believe that if the Google search engine ranks you high, then you have created a webpage that Google understands very well.

Therefore, when the adsense ad is placed and Google scan your page to determine the content of the ads to show, it also will find the page clear and understandable, and as a result choose very targeted ads.

All of this boils down to using the page tags, content, headers and similar to focus on a very narrow search term. People coming in after finding the web page in the search engine (and having read the title and description), actually find exactly what they where looking for.

In addition, the ads showing are exactly in the area they where looking and will pull a higher click rate, then ads showing for someone looking after arriving from a false or misleading link.

7 Steps Of Mega Adsense Earners

The Google AdSense program is like finding money in the street.

Kids in High School are making thousands of dollars a month with Adsense... Housewives, Retiree's, Mom and Pop's who've never made a dime on the Internet have created full time incomes by simply placing AdSense Ads on their web site or blog.

Then you have the "Super AdSense" earners. We have all heard of them... the Elite few who are on track to make half a million dollars a year or more promoting AdSense sites.

Do not be mistaken though... these people are not building like your Mom and Pop's do. They have systems in place that create sites for them... people who build sites for them... they have outsourced and automated many of the tedious tasks such as posting to blogs and searching for keywords.

While most people cannot emulate everything these Super AdSense earners do... many of them you can.

Here are 7 Required Steps you can implement today to copy their success.

1) Starting today... treat your AdSense business like it is a REAL business and track what you do.

Begin tracking what you are doing that works... as well as what you are doing that does not work. This will keep you from making the same mistakes over and over, and you can repeat the steps that have worked in the past. As simple as this step seems... most people do not know the reason(s) to their success or failure.

2) Utilize the latest tools and software available.

The Super AdSense earners are not any smarter than your average person. I know many people think they are... but for the most part, they are regular non techie people.

They are smarter in one respect though... they use the latest tools available to them to automate most of the tasks involved with researching and creating sites. They use the latest keyword, site creation and search engine optimization tools available. The tools they use are their secret weapons.

3) Quit chasing the Mega Dollar keywords.

You cannot compete with the search engine experts who create sites for the $80 payout keywords. You may get lucky every now and then... but in the long run, you are better off building sites for the low to mid range payout keywords. The competition is less, and your chance of success is much higher over the long term.

4) Choose broad niches and break it down.

Choose a broad subject as your main theme (lets use computers for an example). From there... break it down into as many sub niches as possible.

Using Computers as the example... you could build sub niches/sites like laptop computers, computer hard drives, computer keyboards, etc, etc. You could literally build hundreds of sites around one major theme and stay totally focused. Once you have exhausted every possible sub niche of that major theme... choose another main theme and repeat the process.

5) KISS

Keep your sites easy to navigate and forget the fancy graphics that distract your visitors attention. Unless you are just building AdSense sites for the fun of it and to impress your friends... the purpose of having the site is to have people click on one of the ads, right? Then keep the site layout simple... dump the scrolling banners, dancing chickens and colored scroll bars... they are distractions.

6) What is the purpose of your web site?

Your web site cannot be everything to everybody. If you have a full fledged ecommerce site, with products for sale... links to other products, it is not a good site for AdSense. If the primary focus of the site is to sell products... let it do that.

Do not distract or confuse your visitor with to many options or choices. The best AdSense sites are AdSense only content sites that sell nothing. They are sites that "Tell"... not "Sell."

7) Be consistent.

This is not one of those deals where you build one site and you are done. Refer back to Step #4. You must continuously build in order to be successful.

Think of it as planting a crop that you will harvest in a month or two, and the sites you build are seeds. Once the seeds have grown and matured... you will reap the harvest. The more seeds you plant... the larger the harvest.

To sum it up... utilize the tools available to automate as much of the process of building sites - doing research and building keyword lists as you can. This alone will help keep you organized and on track. Be consistent in building... treat it like the business it is and you will reap the rewards of your harvest.

4 Ways To Get Relevant Adsense Ads On Your Site

If you're an active Adsense publisher, I'm sure you have
seen irrelevant Adsense ads on your site. Right? I've
experienced them too.

Not only these ads do not relate to your website content,
they will not get clicked as well.

Recently I've figured out several ways how to solve this
problem.

1- Try adding META tags to your web page. The most
important tags are TITLE, DESCRIPTION and KEYWORDS.

2- Rename your html file. Don't use a generic name.
Instead, use your keyword(s) as your file name. For
example, if the page is about making money with Adsense,
simply name it make-money-with-adsense.htm.

3- Try refreshing your page again and again until you see
relevant ads displayed. You can refresh the page by
clicking on the refresh button, or pressing F5 key on your
keyboard.

4- If any of the above tricks do not work, you can send an
email to Google Adsense Support telling them about the
problem. Don't hesitate. Their support team will reply to
your email shortly.

I've experienced this problem with several sites of mine,
and it was solved 2-3 days after contacting Google Adsense
team.

Google AdSense is a great way for webmasters to monetize
their websites. While many webmasters are struggling hard
to earn $3 - $10 per day, some 'genius' webmasters have
already enjoyed $30, $100, and even $300 a day from AdSense
ads on their websites. How are these 'genius' webmasters
differ from their counterparts? They think different! They
think out of the box!

Let me share with you some tips which has been responsible
in boosting my AdSense profits by 700%. Here are 5 of them,
and if you follow these steps, I'm sure you'll see a
difference in your AdSense income.

Here are the tips:

1- I concentrate on 1 format of AdSense ad, which is the
Large Rectangle (336x280). This format has been proven to
work with me in resulting high click-through rates (CTR).
Why this format? Because the ads look like normal web
links, and people are trained to click on these types of
links.

2- I create custom palette for my ads. I choose white as
the color for the border and background. This is because,
all of my pages have white background. The idea is to make
the AdSense ads look like they are a part of my web pages.

3- Previously, I put all my AdSense ads at the bottom of my
pages. One day, I moved those ads to the top of the page.
The result surprised me. My earning increased! Since then,
I don't hide my AdSense ads anymore!

4- I maintain some links to other relevant websites, and I
put my AdSense ads at the top of the links, so that my
visitors see them first.

5- I automate the insertion of AdSense code into my
webpages using SSI (server side included). You'll need to
ask your web administrator whether your server supports SSI
or not. Here's how to do it. You just put the AdSense code
in a text file, save it as 'adsense.txt', and upload it to
the root directory of your web server. Next, call the code
on other pages using SSI.

This trick is really a time saver especially for those who
use automatic page generators to generate pages on their
website.

Here's a tool I use to generate thousands of pages on my
website within seconds:

10 Adsense Tips for Maximum Click Through Rates.
You should make your Adsense ads look as a part of your web page. They shouldn't look like an Ad. People are negative to advertising. They search

1) You should make your Adsense ads look as a part of your web page. They shouldn't look like an Ad. People are negative to advertising. They search the internet for content not ads. Especially Banners have a less of 0,5% response. Their days are over. Imagine if you have an Adsense ad looking like the typical Banner with different colors. It will not be profitable.

2) Text ads are better than image ads. Like before, people are more responsive to text than images. In a way it is considered as a part of the online document and is more clickable.

3) No Border ads. One of the best tricks is to erase the borders of Adsense ads and make them again having the same color with your website's background.

4) No other advertisements. The first reason is to be legitimate according to Google's Rules and the second more practical reason is that you do not want to distract your visitor's attention and go somewhere else without clicking your Adsense ads.

5) Placement. Even if you have the best Ad, people will not respond if they don't see it instantly. The best place to see the ad is the top of your web page and the next is aside your document's text. Visitors will click it more frequently since it will look like your text.

6) Traffic. Try to use legitimate ways of traffic. Some people use Google Adwords and other Pay per Click search engines. The problem here is to search very carefully for the right niche and keywords in order to make your campaigns profitable. Other ways is link popularity techniques like link exchange directories, software or even mass blog submission techniques. Don't use link farms and classifieds for that, because search engine's algorithms are extremely clever and they will ban your listings.

7) Do not rely on one website. Yes you can make money with one website but try to make as more as possible.

8) Relevant content is King. Articles are one of the best tactics to create huge websites that will be crawled by search engine's robots. Don't forget search engines exist to provide relevant content at first. One excellent resource to automate your article directory procedure is http://www.articleequalizer.com .You can create an article database in minutes which otherwise is time consuming and it would take you a week!

9) Use site maps. Google's site maps visit your site and crawl it much sooner that any other submission process. More information is here: http://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps

10) Relevant ads. It's one of the most important factors for Adsense success. If the internet user can't find relevant ad in your page he or she won't click the ad. Would you act differently? So it's critical to create relevant resource for your web page. In order to do that, you must do the following steps.

First the file must be saved with the appropriate name for example: Golf-Secrets.html if your article is about golf. So the webpage will be: www.yoursitesname.com/Golf-Secrets.html

Second thing you must change is your title tag. For example: Golf-Secrets article

Third is the heading. The first sentence must have this heading: h1 12 Golf secrets h1

Basic AdSense How to

What makes AdSense™ the first choice in advertising programs for most publishers. What could be improved.

While AdWords™ is Google™'s program directed to advertisers, AdSense™ addresses to publishers. We participate in both programs and we've already drawn some guidelines on AdWords™. So, here we are, aiming not to build a guide on AdSense™ (as Google™ has already a good one!) but to share from our experience with it and to present it in a simplified, structured, friendly manner.

Thus, to begin at the beginning,

What Is AdSense™?
It is one of the most used revenue sharing programs at the present moment. AdSense™ is part of Google™'s advertising system allowing website owners to earn money easily and rapidly by displaying relevant ads on their websites.

Roughly, AdSense™'s functioning principle is: ads are administered by Google™ and monetize on a pay per click (PPC) basis.

They introduced just recently the cost per thousand impressions (CPM) advertising system (or, should we say re-introduced? thinking that AdWords™ started initially as a pay per view advertising program).

AdSense™'s Pink Side
What made it make sense for many and gain huge popularity was that:

it actuates a win-win situation and it's designed for the lazy: it produces money requiring no effort.
Why a win-win program
The readers see ads that interest them, the publisher gets additional advertising revenue without effort. The only risk involved is generated by the universal, mighty fear of the publisher of being kicked out of the program, which would be not only an unpleasant situation but might trigger a chain of unfortunate events. But the complexity of this topic requires a separate space and is to be found with more details in How to Qualify for Using AdSense™ and How to Deal with CTR Fraud.
Why for the lazy
Website maintenance does not require special attention, other than normal. That is, you just have to insert your AdSense™ code on your pages and it will take care of the ads. This way, you can concentrate on your site's content, not having to deal with lots of affiliate's codes.
the program was a success due to the fact that, when introduced (back in 2003), it came as a fresh advertising method, an alternative for banners, which worked no longer efficently. The ads were less obtrusive and more content relevant.
it allows even “small” publishers monetize their websites if they are high-quality, by promoting content-rich sites.

Well, so far it's great, you'll say, BUT there has to be something not-so-wonderful about it. And there is! In fact, there are some things:

They do not disclose the exact revenue share of the publisher, neither what influences it. This limits webmasters' control over financial factors.
The program terms do not allow you to share with others information on any site performance statistics. This could be rather frustrating if you wanna know how you're doing compared to other AdSense™ users.
In March they modified their confidentiality policy on payment allowing program users to disclose their earnings.

The stats are incomplete (even with channels). There are still some shortcomings and there is still data missing:
The stats are not accurate: the update of stats is not constant in frequency and is often not synchronized. Thus you may find at a certain moment no change for a longer period in your stats; or the data on page impressions and those of clicks from different times in the day. Some realtime reporters are: AdSense™ Tracker, AdSense™ Monitor, a realtime earnings reporter — Revenue Checker for Google™ AdSense.
A detailed report on earnings is not available. Users find it useful to know exactly which sites/pages generate the most clicks and revenue, which ads are clicked on, details on the “winning” ad formats/colors. Webmasters can use channels, but there are still limitations in the amount and details of data. There are helpers permitting to get accurate reports on your earnings.
Sometimes the automatically targeted ads are not best fitted. Though not very important, there are still errors in matching ads to the page's content.
To compensate for these, there are various tools you can use to find out essential info.
